THE NEON WALL

“The project for the entrance wall of LOST LINDENBERG in Bali consists of a series of Las Vegas style neon signs that advertise holiday fun and vacation pleasures in bright colors and bold shapes. The confusing array of colorful messages represents the loud world that most visitors probably want to escape from and for sure didn’t expect to find here in the jungle on Bali’s west coast.” (Tobias Rehberger)

Tobias Rehberger  (Esslingen, 1966, lives and works in Frankfurt/Main) is undoubtedly one of the most influential and successful German artists of his generation. Using strategies from the realm of design, Tobias Rehberger examines the meaning of art and what the future possibilities for art productions are. His oeuvre evolves into an unpredictable and playful whirlpool of ideas, shapes and colours.
